　　1.【“穷困潦倒”怎么说？】在英语里有个很贴切的俚语：down and out没一点钱了，也没有住的地方，如：I've been down and out. I've lost everything.我曾经也穷困潦倒过，我也曾失去过一切。down-and-outer则表示无家可归又身无分文的人，如：She's a down-and-outers begging on the street corner.

　　2.【“刀子嘴豆腐心”怎么说？】我们可以用一个地道俚语来表达：somebody's bark is worse than their bite，意思是一些人不像他们看起来的那么凶，他们心和行动上都没有嘴上那么凶狠；例如：Don't be scared of her. Her bark's a lot worse than her bite.别被她吓到了，她就是刀子嘴豆腐心。It means that someone is not as unpleasant as they seem, and their actions are not as bad as their threats.这其实是一个俚语，不要看到bark, bite就想当然地认为这是贬义说法。字面上来看是“叫的比咬的凶”，引申含义就是嘴巴毒，但心肠却是好的，嘴上威胁的狠毒，但行动却没那么坏。

　　3.【“我受够了”怎么说？】1. I'm done with sth./sb.我受够某事/某人了，如：I'm done with you.我受够你了。2. I've had enough (of that).我已经受够了。3. I'm fed up with working here.我受够在这儿工作了。4. That does it! I dare you to say that again.我受够了，你敢再说一遍！？5. I've had it.我受够了。6. Enough is enough.够了够了。

　　4.【“一朝被蛇咬，十年怕井绳”怎么说？】英语里有几个比较接近的俚语表达：1. Once bitten, twice shy. 2. A burnt child dreads the fire. 3. A scalded dog fears cold water. 4. One bitten by a serpent is afraid of a rope's end.这些俚语都是指一旦受过伤害就对类似的事物或事件十分惧怕。

　　5.【“把...奉为女神/男神”怎么说？】put somebody on a pedestal，即认为某人完美无瑕，十分尊敬某人，无论如何你都认为他/她是对的，例如：If you put this girl on a pedestal, she won't be interested.你把这个女孩奉为女神她也不会为之所动。
